CoffeeTalk exists to demonstrate the love of Christ for the whole world to the world in our own backyard by extending hospitality to the international community on Capitol Hill. We support the church’s mission by making kingdom use of our facility and location to serve in love and share the hope with those who have come from the ends of the earth.
Coffee Talk is a ministry of hospitality to the international community, particularly the students in the Seattle Central Institute of English (SCIE) at Seattle Central College right across the street. English-speaking volunteers facilitate discussion on topics of interest to our international guests. Practicing English conversation is a high need for students learning English as a second language as they prepare to enter other colleges and universities across the country. We seek to extend Christ’s welcome to his children from around the world at our Friday fellowship and conversation. Meetings are Friday nights during the Fall, Winter and Spring school quarters. We meet from 5 until 6:30.
You can get involved by donating or helping prepare food, setting up/cleaning up for meetings, providing the conversation, or filling other support niches.
